Aedes Mosquito:
Aedes Mosquito are also known as Asian Tiger Mosquito has black & white strips on their body & legs.
Risk:
They are the transmitter of harmful human diseases like Dengue, Chikungunya etc.
Behaviour:
These mosquitoes usually bite in a day which feed indoors & outdoors mainly in the early morning & the last 3 to 4 hours of daylight. They prefer to live indoors and secluded places such as under sinks, in curtain folds or in wardrobes etc.
Anapholes Mosquito:
These mosquitoes usually bite in a day which feed indoors & outdoors mainly in the early morning & the last 3 to 4 hours of daylight. They prefer to live indoors and secluded places such as under sinks, in curtain folds or in wardrobes etc.
Risks:
Anapholes Mosquito are very harmful masquito as they are usually known for transmitting critical disease like Malaria. Anopheles culicifacies is responsible for transmission of 60-70% malaria in India.
Behaviour:
Adult Anopheles are basically identified by their typical resting position: they rest with their abdomens sticking up in the air about 45ºangle to the surface rather than parallel to the surface on which they are resting.
Culex Mosquito:
Culex Mosquito has around 5-6 mm length, brownish grey colour, lays eggs on surface of water which stick to one another as floating rafts.
Risks:
Culex Mosquitoes are transmitters of serious diseases like filariasis, encephalitis and various arboviral infections that cause impact on human health.
Behaviour:
Culex mosquitoes are opportunistic feeders and feed on human as well as range of animals depending on availability. Adult mosquitoes have a typical resting posture wherein the fore and middle legs are at the level to the surface and the hind legs are lifted up.
